Yep definatly tell them, they will be happy to go along with what u want. He wont be the first kid they have had thats showing a interest early on. Thanks people - there is something to be said about perhaps we are not quite ready.

The tricky part is as he is in care for 4 days, do I tell them he is showing interest and to follow up what we are doing???

Keep it light hearted and fun! Dont stress about accidents, they will happen. Dont push too hard- if offering the potty/loo breaks become a problem, and no longer fun, then back off a bit. Good luck! I kept a potty in the lounge coz I didn't trust him with free access to the loo and he used that. I'd also take him every 30 - 45 minutes even if he said no to just 'see if theres a sneaky wee hiding in there'.

I would say definately keep doing what you are doing and if you feel ready go for it. TysMummy had some pretty good suggestions.

We are only just at that stage with Maddi (although she does often ask to go the toilet now too) I know she is ready but I am the one that is not. We did a couple of days in undies but I couldn't keep up with the washing... I am really hoping that if we just continue to take her when she asks to go (about 40% of the time) while still keeping her in nappies, we just undo one tab to pull them down, (I am sure nappy pants or pullups could work just as well but for us cost too much). That by the time weather gets warmer and she is that little bit older toilet training should be a whole lot easier... I hope.

Hi,

Noticed a week or so ago after his bath, DS would be running round naked then stop and say wee, and wee on the floor, thought this was funny so carried on doing it

So the other day I asked if he wanted to go to the toilet, he said yes got all excited, got up on his step, i helped him on the toilet and he did a wee - he thought this was great, I made a huge fuss.

Same happened again this morning, when he was walking off to 'poo corner' dh grabbed him asked him if he wanted to use the toilet and they went and he did.
