We have been thinking bout paying for our own but it would me getting a loan which we didn't really want to do, as with one income plus a mortgage, it would be quite a strain i think.

Oh Rach - that is so long. Is there any possibility you can pay for a private round?

leilani - we are going through hamilton - yes it is a very long wait, i couldn't believe how long it was compare to akl, wellington etc

Hi,

We got put on the waiting list May 10 and have been told that we will beging the first cycle Mar 11. This is in Auckland.

AS for the fist time success, My DH and I are going thorugh our first privately funded at the moment. Unfortunately the waiting list is as long as it is, as your DHB will only do as many IVF's as they are allowed.

That is a really long wait - where are you? Hi ya
We had success with our first IVF cycle and still have 2 frozen embies.
The waiting time might be longer where you are but here in chch we waited about 9 months.

We have been TTC for round 2 years now and due to my DF having a LSP we were referred to FA and are now on the public waiting list (18-22months) for IVF.

We have been told that you get 2 public funded cycles. I was wondering has anyone had a sucess from the 1st cyle of IVF or do you need to have more than one cycle?
