DD is more prone to rashes if she is in sposies all the time. I use microfleece liners too and haven't had problems with sudocream or the like soaking through.

My DD had a serious bout of nappy rash, she ended up being on antibiotics as it became a nasty skin infection. The Dr suggested disposables anytime her rash flared up. Now we just use them at night time as I find she is more prone to a flare up if she wears cloth for that long period of time.

I'm the same - use sudocrem (not very frequently) and only ever used microfleece liners. Yep, microfleece actually works to help prevent nappy rash as it draws the moisture away. Thats why cloth nappies are great at preventing nappy rash. There are also some great products out there that help prevent & heal nappy rash as well if the sudocream is not working or you want something a bit more natural

Also remember teething is only one cause of nappy rash, other causes include thrush, food, breastmilk, or chemicals in our environment (eg laundry powder etc)

Thanks  I shall look into finding some microfleece today while I'm in town.

Bizzy - I'm pretty sure it's from teething. She just got her first tooth a couple days ago and it seems to come along with the drool and red cheeks

i only ever used cloth liners too.
if he keeps getting a rash you might want to look further into it, maybe check with the docs. Not sure what type of nappy you are using either but some nappies made my kids react more than others. I just cut up a bit of microfleece and used that, much cheaper and really lovely and soft

I'm wanting to use cloth with sudocream by using a liner. DD has the worst teething nappy rash and has been in disposables for around 3 weeks . It keeps going away and coming back as soon as I don't use daktozin for a nappy change or 2.

I've just tried home brand liners and am disappointed. The sudocream went straight through to the nappy and I'm doing a strip wash to get it off now.

Are there any tried and true liners (preferably flushable) that I can use?
