For prevention, I reallllly recommend taking Clinician's brand 'Antibiotic Support' which is a probiotic, like inner health plus powder (or eating masses of acidophilus yoghurt) - it gives your body lots of good bugs and helps to treat it. White packaging with green, black and red writing, at most pharmacies.

After a stint in prenatal with a respiratory infection that required heavy antibiotics, I had my first dose of thrush - in my mouth of all fricking places! and the awful hospital people said that they can't give me a probiotic, if I get thrush then they'll give me canesten. I use a tiny bit of Mycota powder in that area every day after my shower to keep the area dry and avoid fungal infections. omg I cant bloody believe it!
So I felt a little bit uncomfortable around the wound area today while I was out today - it's 12 weeks on, everything has healed up properly etc. I got home, lifted up the apron (lol) and i've got thrush around it AGAIN!
