Author: luvmylittlies
Subject: 35242
Posted: 13 August 2010 at 10:05pm

Really sorry for this to happen to you

But to answer your question....different for everyone and how far along you were. I'm assuming you were told from a scan or HCG levels rather than bleeding? If that's the case you won't get AF until the hormone levels drop enough that your body doesn't think it's pregnant anymore. For my fist pregnancy I found out on my 13 week scan that I had a missed miscarriage and it had stopped growing at around 8 weeks. I waited another 6 and still no natural miscarriage (so 11 weeks after it had stopped) so I had a D&C. After that my cycles pretty much went straight back to their normal. But I've heard lots of different stories on here so no clear answer unfortunately.

Hugs. Hope you're doing okay.
