I was also going to get some prefolds and already have covers so I think that is most of the systems (although not brands) covered. I agree Delli that OSFA just seem so bulky which I really don't like so I think a sized system will suit us better. I have taken MooCow up on her offer though as I would like to at least try one to see what I think.

Perhaps I should try an ecobubs as well (although I was going to be lazy and use sposies at night....)

Thanks so much for all your help!

He has been in Larges since around 6 months old because of the chunkiness - the rise wasn't high enough and he was forever showing butt crack My sisters boy is the same age but still fits his medium ittis very well at 12months - he's a tall, skinny boy.

Others we have kept in our pile are three ecobubs wool pocket nappies - originally used them as night nappies but didn't cut it for our heavy wetter no matter how much we stuffed them, we now use them as daytime nappies and they are great! and one ecobubs AIO which is also very good. The Ecobubs ones are all mediums and look like they will fit him for some time yet. We also liked the Peapods (although some people don't) but sold them in favour of ittis. All others we trialled and didn't like so much - we sold on TM.. Didn't have success with fuzzibunz or honeychild, hated Real Nappies and found one size fits most nappies (like YoYo Nappies) too bulky.

Hope this helps

Edited by Delli

Jake had intolerances and NOTHING contained his ruuny poo, but my fuzzis/honeychilds let the least escape. And he pooed several times a day (if he hadnt gone for more than 2 days he wore sposies with a pochet over the top)

I personally would get a small collection of different nappies in small size and then find what works best for you....

Unfortunately it's so individual to your baby. I guess it depends on how long you want to wait to start using them and the shape and size of your baby.
Remember disposibles also cost alot of money and you trough them away, at least you can resale any cloths when too small. Itti's have great resale value. Or why not buy some second hand small ones to try.
All babies are different. My girl is only little. She has only just outgrown her small peapod and size1 totsbots, size1 fuzzibuns still fit her and she is 14 months. Her small prefolds and bummis wraps lasted for about 8 months so for me, it was diffinitely worth buying size small nappies. And even the small ones were really big and bulky for the first 3 months.

Most small nappies will last for around 4-5 months (but this depends completely on each baby and their size!).

But each brand is different - my youngest was in smalls in some while in medium in other brands.
