I roll ours out in the pasta machine. Makes heaps. I also add cheese & seeds for variety. But plain ones are great also.]]>

Combine flour and salt, rub butter in to flour mix & add water to make a workable dough. Roll out thinly & cut into squares/rounds prick with fork. Place on very hot baking sheet and bake for 3 mins.<br />variations: sprinkle seeds on top, cheese add 50gm of cream cheese while mixing dough. Salt, sprinkle salt on top.<br /><br /><br /><strong>Snack Rings</strong><br />1 sheet frozen pastry<br />1 clove of garlic<br />poppy seeds.<br /><br />Rub frozen sheet with garlic clove, as sheet becomes soft sprinkle with poppy seeds, and cut into strips 1cm wide & 2 cm long, or cut into rounds with scone cutter, then cut out smaller cutter making a ring. Place on baking sheet & bake  at 180deg until golden, about 10 mins.]]>

If you have a pasta machine rolling it through that is faster than using a rolling pin <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"><br /><br />ETA copied from another forum:<br /><br />1 C plain flour (can do half wholemeal / half plain) <br />1/2 t salt (I used rock salt) <br />2T butter <br />2T sesame and / or poppy seeds (I didn't have these, so used a tsp of dried rosemary, which was really tasty with the rock salt) <br />I added a bit of grated parmesan, but this wasn't in the recipe <br />1/4 C water <br /><br />Mix the flour, salt, butter and seeds in a food processor, or rub in with your fingers. <br />Add water to make a soft dough. <br />Roll out to desired thickness (not too thick) prick with a fork and cut out shapes. <br />Place on a floured tray and bake for 15-25 minutes or until golden at 200 degrees C. <span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by weegee</span>]]>
