The latest one aside from now because she wants to be cuddled and nothing else so she's gone down for a sleep! Was yesterday she got her finger caught in the dryer door and cried, mum pulled it out, so she decided to stick her finger at the side she got her finger stuck and touch the door and cried, then she put her hand in the middle of the door and cried! Little ish lol. Mum ignored her so she went onto something else.

If you ignore it, make sure you still stay in the room though, as sometimes separation anxiety can make them worse in that heightened emotional state.
Sometimes with a massive tanty, they may need a little cuddle to calm down (since they can't regulate their emotions, they need us to help them).

Good luck!

Normally he is a very happy sociable little child but boy he can throw a wobbly when he doesn't get his own way. I am trying to either ignore or distract at this stage - I don't feel they have the capacity to be reasoned with so try to avoid that or else I end up more exasperated!! The in public tantrums are the worst!! I can handle them at home a whole lot better!!

He is a gorgeous, cheeky, mischievious, fun-loving kid but boy does he have a determined streak! The tantrums have started and if he's pointing at something he wants and doesn't get it then by golly, the tantrum starts.

So what do I do? I know this is a stage, and don't get me wrong - he is a fantastic, happy, fun boy most of the time but can turn in and instant.

Is it best to simply ignore tantrums? What should I do?
