Yeah i agree. I bought one for DS when he was maybe 3 months. I couldn't get him in the right position for it. It was however really handy for hip carring. I have one which I only got when Cam was about 6 months old, and was brilliant for carrying him sitting up on my hip. Really easy to pop him in when we went up town. I'm small and found mine to big to be useful, but my husband liked it (altho never used it!) I found a pouch sling better for my smaller frame. I bought one for my first child. My husband really liked it but I found it hard to get her lying in a good position as a little baby. It really came into its own when she was 6+ months and sitting as she could "sit" on my hip. I think it depends on you and your baby though.
