Hee hee, I was cooing over the next nappy I'm going to buy, and was showing a pic to DH, and he said "you do know that he's just going to poo in it, don't you?"
I still get annoyed when my son does a runny poo that runs over the liner onto the nappy (which is waaay too frequently!) and I'm so excited when he does a well-formed poo that just rolls off the liner and I don't have to rinse anything off! DS1 was 6-7 months (about 6.5kg) and DS2 well I think he might be moving into them at about 3 months if his growth doesnt slow down!

Cool thank you for the size and liner advice.

I was an average 7 pounder and was neither chubby or long apparently.. so heres hoping

I thought fleece would be better anyway, and they are pretty cheap so even if they do get stained its better than my lovely ittis getting it hehe

Sad how we are all anal about out nappies staying nice hehe

Fleece liners definitely, they get even more useful the older your baby is and you finally get to flick the solids out. But at least for the younger poos esp BF ones most of it will be on the fleece and less in the nappy. I always found with the flushable ones a fair amount of the more liquid poos went through anyways.

+ If they get stained its not your pretty nappies getting it. I'd ask your Mum what you were like as a baby or look at some pics to see if you were a slim or chubby baby. If you were a chubby baby I'd be more inclinded to go for meds. If you were slim then keep the smalls.

my slim kid can still fit a small!! Meds are comfortable on hims as well. He's 22months & around 11 kg. Cool thank you, yes i guess its all just going to come down to how much of a chubba bubba our girl is! Am planning on keeping these ones for Bub #2 anyway so wont be a total loss if I dont get alot of use out of these ones

2nd Question, flushable or fleece liners?

I never got smalls but mediums fit by around 3 mths, my little girl is like Aethalias and has thunder thighs, shes able to wear large on the smallest snap too now. Around 6 months and nearly 7kg for us. She could have worn them longer, but she was starting daycare and I figured it was easier for them just to learn how to use mediums from the start. Yeah, I'd say the same. Around 7kg (which was 8months for my little girl because she was prem). But she had mega skinny legs so never really fit the smalls properly anyway (ended up selling them). The mediums fit wonderfully though. So how long you get out of them depends on the shape/size of your little one. Not sure if this will will help but also they fit the mediums last for aaaaaages because their growth has slowed down a bit and once they start crawling/walking they lean up a bit (apparently). My DD grew out of hers at about 3/12 months, she has MAJOR thunder thighs! was about 6.5kg as well. she is now growing out of her new mediums as the elastic is to tight and is in larges! But her older 2nd hand mediums with stretched elastic will still fit her for a while. She is 8.5kg at the mo. It depends on what shape your baby is, Ittis have a good resale value so even if you use them for a couple of months you will still get good money for them. Im just curious if any of you remember what ages and weight your bubs moved from Small to Med Itti Bitti's?

I have 12 Smalls and 17 Medium's and Im wondering if I try and trade some small's for mediums while they are still brand new... Just thinking 12 is alot if bubs isnt going to be in them long?
