Author: Kellyfer
Subject: 36985
Posted: 08 December 2010 at 2:29pm

We do the same thing if we have Xmas with the inlaws...
For brunch, we have a big cooked breakfast with the works: Chorizo breakfast sausages, bacon, hash browns, baked beans, toast, eggs, onions etc. It's usually all cooked on the BBQ (so pretty easy, and very little prep) and enjoyed al fresco with a glass of bubbles and everyone just helps themselves.
Then there's nibbles and stuff around for most of the day (coz its all about overindulgence) and we have a late lunch/early dinner with turkey, ham, salads and whatever else everyone brings.

My parents also do a special breakfast, but not to the same scale. We usually start with some nice hot choc and marshmallows, and then have croissants with ham and cheese, crumpets, and sometimes strawberries or fruit of some description. It all happens a bit earlier though (like at normal breakfast time... used to be before we opened presents as kids) and it's more of a make-your-own sort of scenario. (And then a much more traditional lunch with the roast chicken/lamb/pork, peas, carrots etc and roast veges for Christmas dinner, and leftovers for tea).
