    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=19267">mummyofprinces</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 37165<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 20 December 2010 at 10:42am<br /><br />BK, Jake has great depth perception and is very aware where things end etc only problem is he runs faster than his feet can handle and he trips on them, but not so often anymore <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> So I think that might just be a personal attribute.<br /><br />I will say that Jake was rocking on his hands and knees at 5 months but it took him another 5 to figure out how to go.... Likewise he stood at 10 months but it took him another 3 months to figure out how to walk.  While he was running a week later he wasnt exactly coordinated, steady walk and running took about a month.<br /><br />Jake does the Phoebe run, I hope he never grows out of it<img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> ]]>

He ran a couple of weeks later.<br /><br />Morgan was also furniture walking by 7 months (but crawled a bit later at 7.5 months), she walked at 10 months but not well (ie still crawled some times) til just after her b'day and didn't run for at least another month or so, around 13.5mths.]]>

Between those he'd take a couple of steps by himself.<br />Started running as soon as he could walk, but quickly gave it up due to the high rate of failure (i.e. injury).  Took up running again about a month later. ]]>

Interestingly a friend who had a late and early walker said that her early walker had very little depth perception and was always walking off or into things (and even now as an adult is clumsy lol) but her late walker has always had really good hand/foot coordination...]]>
