Jackson will wake any time from 6am onwards. Some mornings he can be awake at 5.30am We bought a block out blind for his room which has helped a little Gro Anywhere Blockout Blind We bought it from the UK which is way cheaper than from any Aus retailers. And its portable (suction cups), so doesnt affect the window fittings etc.

As for night settling, I was also going to suggest perhaps skyping Dad as part of your bed time routine or before dinner? If you cant, what about taking her for a walk in the pram or carrier? Its not ideal for a long term option but at least for the time being it takes the stress and pressure off you from ongoing crying.
Have you tried rescue remedy or Waleda teething power (its a great calmer)?

Do you have family or friends to help? I hope she settles soon for you.

    Author: mummymonster
Subject: 37404
Posted: 12 January 2011 at 9:30pm

A wee bit different but a couple of months ago I had to take about 5 long weekends away (in a row) leaving DS & DH alone for 1/2 the week.
DS was more difficult than usual. He needed lots more hugs and wanted to be carried a lot. DH got some good snuggle time out of it but it was hard on both of them. He'd just be upset at nothing.
Then when I was home for 1/2 the week, DS was so much more a mummies boy than usual. He got over it about a month after I was home for good.

So, none of that actually sounds helpful. I guess I'm just saying - yes it's a struggle. Try more hugs and it's going to be hard on all 3 of you but you'll just have to keep on keeping on.

Good luck
