I got so desperate that on Monday I took her to the doctor for something else and while I was there I asked for a script for phenegan to get her to sleep. It worked (sort of) - she is only taking an hour or so to get to sleep instead of 2 plus hours. I have also put a cd player in her room and am playing relaxing music to her which partly blocks out the noise of me doing stuff round the house after she goes to bed. And I readjusted our bedtime routine so she has at least 15 solid minutes of me reading and talking to her before she goes to sleep. Plus I stand in the room for 5-10 minutes with my back to her before I ease out.

I hope something works for you soon coz I know just how frustrating and tiring it is, especially when you are on your own

And i wont talk to her again. She keeps talking for maybe 5 minutes then crashes out and i have to slowly and quietly sneak out.

It is annoying and sometimes takes up to 30 minutes but better than listening to screaming for hours.

If she wakes i do this all over again lol. But she is normally asleep again within 5 minutes

If he has a nap he falls asleep at 7 but then normally will wake up anytime between 9.30-11pm and take a good 2 hours to resettle cos he just thinks it's time to get up, if he does have a nap then instead we get a two hour battle at 7pm instead. I wouldn't mind but no matter how late he either goes to bed or how late he is up in the night he still wakes up around 6ish each morning and never any later than 6.30am and that's a real killer.
No idea how to help at all though, we never had this with the eldest he would just go to bed and chat for a while till he fell asleep or I could sit and read to him for a bit if he was hyped up and needed help settling.

Shelt if I sit in with K he still just carries on, his is just full on tanties cos he doesn't want to go to bed.
