It continues on again today, and she is stoked coz I pulled out her little stuffed crocdile from her toy hammock for her to wrestle.

Steve Irwin. I swear, she is obsessed! It started last week with him being all over the papers, she spent the afternoon cutting out all the pictures and sticking them to the fridge.

Then at the weekend they had a tribute to him on TV which went on for hours and she watched it with Willie mesmerised and cried when it finished.

But things really moved to another level yesterday when we were at the supermarket and she spotted WHO weekly with him on the cover. So I bought it for her to cut out the pictures, and she asked me what his "friends" names were (Terri and Bindi).

Somehow from there she has decided that she IS Steve Irwin. She spent the rest of the night wrestling crocodiles on the lounge floor, only after changing into her drill shorts (which unfortunately are white - not khaki, I have failed in my duty as a parent to provide her with khakis!) and an animal t-shirt.

I went to tuck her in before I went to bed and she stirred and I said "Nite angel, Mummy loves you" or something along those lines, and she mumbled in her sleep "I'm big boy Steve".

She woke up this morning still convinced she is Steve, but what is more, I am Terri, and she insisted on wearing the drill shorts to preschool.
