Lol Busymum, I couldve used cloth nappies straight away my daughters thighs were so chubby, you could seriously not easily fit one hand around them.

I had a giant child anyway (we skipped the NB size entirely), so he was generally out of clothes well before the age on them. He's almost 14 months and has been wearing 2 year old clothes for a few months. So adding cloth nappies to the mix didn't really make much difference! I just notice that some of the pairs of shorts from places like Pumpkin Patch tend to be tighter in the bum.

We use a variety of nappies, but ittis are my favourites!

I've only had problems with a couple of pairs of pants but they didn't fit properly in a sposie anyway. Bodysuits seem to fit to the age on the tag, and she's wearing a lot of her size 9-12month bodysuits still at 13 months with cloth. Overnight I need to make sure there's enough room for her sposie to expand so it ends up the same size as a night cloth anyway.

I use ittis and some OSFA.

I haven't really noticed a problem at all with clothing sizes and Ittis. DS is 12months now and is wearing 6-12month or 9-12month clothing.

I found that as DS got older, the pants seemed to get slimmer if that makes sense so some pants not made from stretchy stuff can be a bit tricky with cloth nappies but I didn't have problems with things when he was little. We have all Itti's and I haven't noticed any difference really in his clothes, I did just find (bodysuits are all pumpkin patch ones really) that he wouldn't be in the sizes past what they are, so 3-6months was truley 6months unless I had a extender on IYKWIM. He is pretty average for height/weight.

Oh yah! Glad to hear your sucess with Itti's as thats what Ive got!

It was part of my reason for choosing them actually, them being the trimest.

Ive got prefolds as well.

We use the itti d'lish nappies, and although I have noticed they make his bum bigger than sposies would, it's always been his own chubby thighs that have meant he's grown out of clothing. It hasn't made a difference here, but we used mostly prefolds and then itti d'lish both of which are pretty trim - about the same as a sposie really I think. I don't notice DD having a big bum amongst all the sposie kids at daycare anyway

She outgrows clothes in length not width. She wears quite bulky night nappies so her domed-bottom pj singlets tended to be the first thing I sized up. She's pretty lean so pants were fine width wise even with a night nappy.

If you went for OSFA in particular it might be different as they can be quite big on a newborn. Maybe also true for some pockets?

I mostly had a problem with my girls fat tummy rather than her bum! She would grow out of her pants at the waist well before her legs! Onesie bumsies are really good, very handy. Question for experienced cloth Nappy Mums

Just curious how having cloth bums has affected clothes fitting your bubs?

Like did you need 0-3 month instead of NB etc etc?

Im going to get some onsie bummsies to extend the things that dome at the crotch but wht about leggings and all in ones etc?
