Last week she did number 1 and 2, we made a big deal and will continue to do that, I am fully expecting her to lose interest but we will just go with the flow, I am not going to get stressed about it with number three not far away!

I'd just keep going...he will probably lose interest in it so dont be disheartened if he does...both mine did.

My youngest is currently very interested after watching his brother TT but I dont think he has total control over when its coming or not. He often will remove his nappy after a wee and sometimes he's managed to tell me a wee is coming and then wee all over the floor. If I put him on the toilet he would stay there all day. He also knows if he squeezes something out he gets a lolly so he can squeeze a drop out on demand.

I just keep congratulating "good boy for telling mummy you have done wees, lets go get a clean nappy" or I let him wear undies for a while...he inevitably pees in them.

    Author: lovingmummyhood
Subject: 37743
Posted: 28 January 2011 at 5:59pm

I have done a search (and read through lots of paes in the main thread) but can't find anything about what I need. DS is still young but has shown an interest in the potty since we got it and will even take himself to it for wees (not consistently - sometimes he will bring me a nappy, or several until I put one on him). He understands what it is for and his latest thing is to sit there, and let go just a little bit, jump up 'Yay!' high five etc.. big clap, get me to take it to the toilet (or try to take it himself), tip it in, wash it out and then he does it again and again He must have fairly good bladder control, and I think he just likes the praise after he's been, but I'm thinking stopping and starting like that can't be very good for him??? Any suggestions please???
