One or 2 of the honeychild pockets are getting stretching around the domes but I think thats more from being pulled tight over all the night nappy stuffing I use in them!]]>

Just wanted to check i wasnt about to stuff anything up LOL<br /><br /><br />i do tend to use drops of tea tree oil in my machine which helps lose the ammonia smell - i love it!]]>

Like others have said id tend to avoid soaking bamboo or hemp inserts (except maybe a one off if they got really bad) but microfibre, microfleece (liners) and cotton prefolds should be fine.<br /><br />Defo not covers tho, PUL doesnt like nappisan!<br /><br />Our mums and grandmothers used to soak our cotton flat naps everytime in nappisan and they lasted for years!<br /><br /><img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> ]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=23588">Iceland</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 37942<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 10 February 2011 at 2:36pm<br /><br />yes, i aggree that vinegar is damaging bamboo.<br />i used to do (only occasional vinegar/baking soda wash) and now i m noticing breaking in the bamboo fibre... creating sort of cracks in the fabric.... so better stay clear from vinegar.<br /><br />also, i d warn from a tree tree oil in a rince, last week,i tried this with my ittis (apparently it disinfects and deodorises naps) and after the wash i had a blue colour leak form a blue itti bitti cover in my wash....not too bad on itti bitti sio but terrible on bitti boos!!! and now can t get rid of this. ...<br /><br />any one had similar experience?<br />anyway, just be causios with the amounts or teetree (i used cca 5 drops only)...<br />so you stash doesnt get damaged.<br />Icelandm<span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by iceland</span>]]>

I would think the inserts being plain cloth of whatever sort would be fine to be soaked from time to time.]]>

Just because I can't stand the smell of them if they're dry pailed! They look fine, no stains at all. ]]>

Sunlight does not appear to be helping - nor has repeated washes, and while i know its no bother (especially as this hides inside a pocket) it annoys me.<br /><br />Are you allowed to soak inserts in bleach/ or nappysan?<br />Or any other ideas?]]>
