Just thought I'd update this in case anyone reads the thread in future...

I've just installed the Radian in the car and it's a tight squeeze but it does fit! Yay! I'm 5'3" and I have just enough leg room in the front passenger seat...don't think my 5'11" DP would have any chance, but when we travel together in the Astra he drives anyway. I absolutely love it which are strong words for a carseat but it seriously is awesome! Sorry can't help with a astra, but the Radian XTSL didn't fit in my subaru station wagon rear facing for a newbourn. It needed at least 25cm from the edge of the backseat to the the front seat (the closest part, which for me is the top as I have it on a slight lean). Note the seat reached about 38 cm high relative to the base of the back seat. While I could drive 5ft2, DH had no chance.

Just wondered whether anyone had a Radian fitted in a 2004 Holden Astra hatchback? Is there still plenty of room for the front seat passenger?
