I have exactly the same problem iceland. Gabrielle is adament about what she wants to wear and when. We have arguments every single morning because she has two pairs of shoes - one for daycare and one pair for home. She always wants to wear the shoes for home on daycare days and vice versa. It wouldn't matter so much if I hadn't paid 3 times the price for the home shoes...I have learnt my lesson now. I won't bother buying expensive shoes again and then it wont matter if she wears them to daycare and ruins them.

If I buy nice clothes and I don't want them worn to daycare I hide them and tell her they are in the wash and wet so she can't wear it. Its easier than the arguments.

She also doesnt like wearing jerseys but I haven't figured out a way round that one yet. my soon 2 year old is just sooo determined what she wants to wear!!!
i d say most toddles probably do:-)
i d put away clothes not appropriate to the season, eg. shorts etc.. as if i d try to change what she s wearing she s go crazy and take it off anyway...
so, this way with limited choises she at least dressed appropriately -ish to the temperature.... i ve got over her wearing completely mismatching items:-)
but not yet 2 and already so opiniated about the clothes...that sometimes i m wondering what i ll be into once she s a teanager:-)

anyone "in the same shoes"?

My boy used to put things on inside out, back to front etc and if we were just at home i'd leave it like that most of the time. Sometimes i'd fix it though. Going out i always fixed it though. Issy doesnt put things on backwards or inside out, she does tend to put both legs through one leg of her shorts and waddles around .. I was going to ask a getting dressed question too... I help Jack change his clothes to the right way if I notice, but then he has kindy 3 mornings and Playcentre 1 morning a week. It was actually DH that taught him to get dressed and look for the tag or picture on the inside of clothes so he knows what way to put them, also I think to lay them out which makes it easier. I dont care if Taylah goes around the house wearing things like that. But i do change her if we go out. I put all clothes away in her draws the right way though

I even let her walk around with both legs in the one leg whole too lol. Just wondering, if your toddler dresses themselves but puts the clothes on backwards/inside out, do you change them, or just let them wear them backwards?
