Mix rolled oats,pumpkin,sunflower,sliced almonds.<br />when all golden I add thread coconut and diced apricots.<br />the maple syrup makes it really yummy and not to sweet<br /><img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley14.gif" border="0">.You can used either cheap stuff or the more pricey, just depends on your budget.<br />I love to serve it with plain yogurt and stewed berries.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=18407">happymumma</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 38220<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 06 March 2011 at 7:47pm<br /><br /><P align=left>I just get wheatgerm from the supermarket.&nbsp; It's with all the baking stuff.&nbsp; As for what it is...this is what the packet of mine tells me (!)...wheatgerm is from the middle of the wheat grain and is removed during the milling of white flour.&nbsp; I had no idea...!</P><P align=left>Mine has just come out of the oven and smells good.&nbsp; I mixed up all the dry ingredients from the edmonds cookbook version with chopped almonds and no sunflower seeds (only because I ran out).&nbsp; Instead of mixing it before toasting I cooked mine the way KerryLea described and then added a smaller quantity of her liquids (just because I only have 3 cups of rolled oats in mine.&nbsp; I'll add cranberries when it is cooled.&nbsp; </P>]]>

Mix thoroughly.  When cold add dried fruit.  Store in airtight container.<br /><br /><br />I usually only put sultanas and dices apricots in but you can use whatever fruit you want.]]>
