It really does like strap them in and keep them in place so almost no bounce which is really really good if they are filled with milk. I used it while BF.

By the time you spend money on a sports bra, crop top for over top of that and supportive top etc it probably adds up to a similar amount to just buying a really good bra and because it doesn't have underwire it doesn't have cup sizes so if you loose weight or if you are engorged that day it doesn't matter.

Had to try just a tight crop top thing + nursing bra today cos the others were in the wash and it wasn't good (and then we got a totally flat tyre on the stroller, grr). Let us know how you go at farmers - that Triumph one they have did look quite good but $60ish is still a a lot for me (usually get the under$20 ones at Bendon outlet, haha).

That's a good recommendation kebakat! I'll have to get saving (and not buy any more nappies). The site does say you can return if not satisfied (if tags on etc) so could be worth a go considering how much I'd use it.

    Author: smw85
Subject: 38318
Posted: 09 March 2011 at 9:38pm

Hey Bowie,

I had the very same problem as you 3 weeks ago (and my buba was 6 weeks old then also!) I really wanted to get back into running, as that is a sure fire way to drop the kilos (ya!) I honestly hunted high and low for a decent non-underwire sports bra. (I gave up on a maternity sports bra - too hard) Most of the non-underwire sports bras don't have individual moulding for each breast, and it is more like a shelf bra. I'm not really a fan of that for running, too much movement!

I ended up trying on heaps of bras at hot gossip, so many of them didn't pass the bounce test. You know the big jump on the spot in the dressing room to see just how far the boobs move & hurt!! :-)

I ended up finding a fantastic bra by Triumph called triaction. (http://www.littlewoods.com/triumph-tri-action-extreme-sports-bra/498297427.prd) I swear my size 14 DD's are secure and safe in that while I go running. I don't hurt or ache afterward a run. Trust me it was an exciting find! And I find that even when bubs is crying for a feed afterwards I just slip a should strap down my arm and its quick access for him. So it wasn't a big deal that it wasn't a nursing bra.

Hot Gossip has a website www.brashop.co.nz but I couldn't find this bra in there. They do have a returns policy if a bra doesn't fit. So I am sure you can always ring them up at a shop and they will be able to help you out by ordering via website or over the phone.

Hope this helps somewhat! And hope you enjoy your running! I know I am loving getting back into it - even though its only 2-3km a day so far. I am aiming for 10km run in the Huntly Half at the end of May. I found out today they allow strollers, so I'm stoked! :-)

PS: Sorry I tried to upload a pic of this bra, but didn't work. I just read in OhBaby FAQ Forum that need to have posted 100+ before being able to access photo gallery... maybe that is my problem..!

I'm a FF though so if your a bit smaller might not matter quite so much? I did have a friend suggest to wear a normal BFing bra overtop, I guess it would do the same thing?

I did find I would get quite achy boobs after a wee while but I'm not sure if that was cos of the underwire or cos I was throwing them around a fair bit

Doesnt have to be a maternity one with clippy cups though thats a bonus...am not really concerned with how it looks either, if its industrial with 4inch thick straps then its all good.

Ability to but online a bonus as we have sweet FA stores here (Farmers is about it.)

Oh - and only for c cups, nothing drastic.

Anyone?
