    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=22592">Nothing</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 38328<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 09 March 2011 at 7:47pm<br /><br />12lb tomatoes (5kg)<br />3lb sugar <br />1 oz cloves (box)<br />1 head garlic<br />1 tsp black pepper<br />7oz salt- NON iodised<br />2 large onions<br />1 tsp allspice<br />2 tsp curry powder<br />1 1/2 pints malt vinegar<br /><br />Rougly half/quarter tomatoes, peel garlic and crush, chop onions. Put cloves and allspice into a muslin cloth. Put everything into a big pot, with muslin cloth hanging into the mix. Boil for 3 hours or until it reaches desired thickness (as long as you want really). Stir occasionally.<br /><br />Heat clean glass containers in the oven. Use a Mouli on the sauce into a container then through a funnel into the warm glass containers. Leave to sit until cold, covered with a tea towel, then cover with gladwrap then a lid. <br /><br />It makes a really yummy sauce and everyone who has tried it loves it! Good bottles to use are from RTD's, as the labels come off easily. I just have glad wrap over the top with a rubber band and dont worry about a lid as we use it pretty fast. Makes roughly 10 RTD size bottles (from memory). Any questions please ask, good luck. ]]>
