I have mine hanging over the fire on a special rack on a pulley, if any are 'stained' as per say I put them in the sun on a clothes rack. If you rinse your ittis in hot water with a scrubby brush before you dry pail them, then you will get hardly any coming through the wash with poo still on them. Its only winter anyone, once spring comes around you can put them out in the sun then!]]>

You shouldnt soak your MCN in napisan at all, even the baby stuff. It breaks down the PUL and stuffs them much faster. You shouldnt need to soak MCN at all, putting them in a dry pail will work fine. And no Ecostore is Cr*p in my opinion, I tried it on a long cycle or a short one and it still doesnt do anything. Each to their own tho, if it works for you then thats great.]]>

But I use it to strip the inserts and in my normal wash if they're a bit stinky..<br />I used to use ecostore but found washing in plain water was much the same so I don't use it anymore.<br />Soon I'll be trying RockinGreen. Can't wait.]]>

I use 1-2 TBSP of a half and half mixture of baking soda and washing soda crystals (which I get in bulk from Bin Inn, and it's very cheap!). I have never had a problem with smells being left over.<br /><br />Oh, and it won't cause infections (???) so don't worry about that too much.  ]]>

Im extremely sensitive to laundry powders. I get all itchy and rashy the past few years. I will dissolve it in warm water before adding to wash. Also i use baby napisan and soak over night every night if they are stained poos or else ill do it once a week then will put in wash in morning normal cold wash with the ecobrand :) comes out all white like new and smells so great. ill never use baking sode like how some people do. i tried it on some of my own clothes and it felt very yuckie and got an infection where i had cut myself deeply when i tried it...as soon as i moved back to ecobrand it cleared up. but everyones diff thou.]]>

DS has sensitive skin, and Amolin is great for this.  Awesome for nappies too - I've never had to do a strip wash at all.]]>

Have never had a problem with build up. I did use soapnuts for a bit but DH said the nappies still smelt after using them (I have no sense of smell so had to take his word for it!)]]>
