Ah you changed your name... I have mine hanging over the fire on a special rack on a pulley, if any are 'stained' as per say I put them in the sun on a clothes rack. If you rinse your ittis in hot water with a scrubby brush before you dry pail them, then you will get hardly any coming through the wash with poo still on them. Yup, if it's overcast it does but if it's like black as and raining it wont lol even having them on a clotheshorse inside by the window will help.

Nar I just use Rockin Green now, fabulous stuff. You shouldnt soak your MCN in napisan at all, even the baby stuff. It breaks down the PUL and stuffs them much faster. You shouldnt need to soak MCN at all, putting them in a dry pail will work fine. And no Ecostore is Cr*p in my opinion, I tried it on a long cycle or a short one and it still doesnt do anything. I don't know how baking soda caused an infection either???? But I use it to strip the inserts and in my normal wash if they're a bit stinky..
I used to use ecostore but found washing in plain water was much the same so I don't use it anymore.
Soon I'll be trying RockinGreen. If you're worried about smell, baking soda really does remove smells from nappies. I use 1-2 TBSP of a half and half mixture of baking soda and washing soda crystals (which I get in bulk from Bin Inn, and it's very cheap!). I have never had a problem with smells being left over.

I tried ecostore and it did NOTHING to wash my nappies, I even used double the amount they say to use. My night ones still come out stinking like pee, as well as my day ones. Go Eco Brand. Im extremely sensitive to laundry powders. I get all itchy and rashy the past few years. I will dissolve it in warm water before adding to wash. Thanks laddies. I was told it is bad for the elastic in the ittis. I will just keep using it and will maybe try some Amolin as well. I have used that before with my daughter. I use Amolin too, for washing everything. DS has sensitive skin, and Amolin is great for this. I used Amolin for DD's nappies, and still use it with her clothes too. Have never had a problem with build up. I used Eco store washing powder for all our washing. However i have heard that i should not use Eco store with my itti bittis?? My problem is my baby ( all of my children) have bad skin. So what ealse is there that is natural and wont hurt the nappies or my childrens skin?
