Beckenham library isnt too far from you, its on colombo st, cashmere.. and has a story time on tuesday mornings with lots of other mums and bubs. Hi Georgie, I found your post after googling Opawa Playgroups. We're moving from Wellington to Christchurch next week and are also going to be living in Opawa. I'll let you know if I come across any playgroups that look good, and it'd be great if you could do the same?

Hi ya Georgie.

There is another thread here about some of us meeting up in August when a couple of the girls have had their babies and are on maternity leave.  I don't actually know any of them bar Angiebabe so I would be the new girl too.  Feel free to come along.  Sounds like we will be meeting in Riccarton which is pretty central for most and not too far from your area really

Hi Georgie :) Your wee girl is gorgeous! There is a regular CHCH group that I'm pretty sure still meet up. It's consists of a few extremely lovely OB regulars :) I don't join in as much anymore as they mostly live on the other side of town so I find it a bit far to travel.

I actually live in Cashmere which is right next to Opawa/St Martins. If you ever want to meet up I'd be happy to. I have twins girls Hazel & Esme that will be 3 next week. There's also a playcenter down the Road from me on Landsdowne Tce that meets twice a week for babies, toddlers and parents. It's a gold coin donation per child to join in. I'm checking that out next week :) We only just moved to this area from New Brighton.

We may be moving to Christchurch very soon from Wellington. I would be keen to meet some new friends and mothers down there. Could anyone recommend a friendly coffee or play group. We will be in the St Martins/Opawa area
