You can unscrew it. Mine got Mould on it around early Autumn and I blasted it with the hose, scrubbed it etc and it's fine - you can't even tell! Let it dry in the sun. You can order them directly off the phil n ted website too. It might work out a bit cheaper buying directly from them.

Can't comment on how easy it would be to put on though. I was just wondering if anyone had change the set. I mean brought a whole new canvas seat. I ask because mine is covered in mold and I don't want to put a newborn into it. The lady at the store said she could just order a whole new seat and it works out much cheaper than replacing the buggy but just wondered if it was very difficult to put the new seat on.
