The idea is you unfold it to dry and it dry SO much quicker than the presewn pads. Also, I use microfibre then hemp underneath-the microfibre draws it away quickly and then the hemp holds it. If you just have hemp it draws away too slowly and just microfibre doesn't hold it as long. Works for us anyway! :-) ]]>

Mainly because I'd be afraid they'd catch fire (have heard about a wee boy trying to dry his pjs in the microwave and his mum was just in time to prevent a fire!). <br /><br />I hang mine in front of the dehumidifier (going pretty much non stop now anyway <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0">) and have the drying rack placed in front of the heat pump so they catch the heat during the night/in the morning when it's on.]]>

They are more expensive but they are slimmer and they absorb more and better. The only downside is that they take forever to dry! If you decide to use them, put a microfibre insert first as they absorb quicker. <br /><br />PS On wet days I put mine in front of the dehumidifier and that does work well  <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> ]]>

There's a trademe store that does $1 reserve auctions for them so I got them at a good price. In each nappy I use one microfibre insert with a hemp one as well, as the hemp were small than the pocket nappy. This combination does the trick for me!<br />They last 3 hours. Without the hemp inserts, about 2.<br />]]>
