Hi all, new on here but saw this post and just had to let you know what I do for inserts..you can buy your own material online much cheaper than in stores green beans is a great one http://www.gbau.com.au/

And then cut into long strips which you fold over into thirds to get the thickness. The idea is you unfold it to dry and it dry SO much quicker than the presewn pads. Also, I use microfibre then hemp underneath-the microfibre draws it away quickly and then the hemp holds it. If you just have hemp it draws away too slowly and just microfibre doesn't hold it as long. Wow, I have to say I've never tried that... Mainly because I'd be afraid they'd catch fire (have heard about a wee boy trying to dry his pjs in the microwave and his mum was just in time to prevent a fire!).

If the microfibre inserts/boosters are not enough you can try either hemp or bamboo. They are more expensive but they are slimmer and they absorb more and better. The only downside is that they take forever to dry! If you decide to use them, put a microfibre insert first as they absorb quicker.

I had the same problem, and I bought hemp inserts. There's a trademe store that does $1 reserve auctions for them so I got them at a good price. In each nappy I use one microfibre insert with a hemp one as well, as the hemp were small than the pocket nappy. This combination does the trick for me!
They last 3 hours. Without the hemp inserts, about 2.

I guess I mean inserts. They are microfibre. Are liners the disposable bits that catch the poos?

I think what I meant was boosters...

How long is baby in the nappy? And it looks like you can get microfibre or microfibre/hemp inserts which would hold more wees than just microfibre.
But as bizzy said, what do you mean you are only using 2 liners? I have baby first nappies and they are going really well but I'm using 2 liners during the day and he soaks through them pretty quick. I do have 2 inserts but was wondering if these work and what are the best type.
