I could just imagine DP sprawled out on one bed and me squished up with DD on another! Loads of room for the 4 of us although the kids and I always end up cuddledinto the single bed lol.  <br /><br />We did sidecar the cot when ds was first born but it was a different height and awkward.  <br /><br />Once ds is a little older and not feeding at night so much, we'll set them up in a sibling bed , neither of them like to sleep alone :-) ]]>

I think our room could just about fit it. But I bet I'd still be squashed between the 2 kids while DP got to sprawl luxuriously!<br /><br />The double bunk sounds like a good idea in future too - I guess the kids might like sleeping together, since they'll be so used having someone to snuggle at night.]]>

That way there is heaps of room for everyone.  Hubby can have a bit of space to get a good nights sleep for work and she can move around to breastfeed their baby.  ]]>

My 3;6 year and my five month old are both in our bed. Every now and then my 3 year old is on the single bed in our room, but most the time she sleeps in between me and DF, then our 5 month old sleeps on my side. I have the cot pushed up to the bed as well so I can put my 5 month old in there if I need to go to the toilet or anything during the night, and it doubles as a barrier... We have a queen sized bed and although I'd love a king it is fine. ]]>

At the mo she sleeps right thru every night, if she does wake up she's back to sleep within 30secs after sensing me cuddle up to her.<br /><br />I don't want to be having to wake up in the night to feed the newbie whilst in between having to run into DD room to get her back to sleep.<br /><br />I'm sure it will work itself out. I've accepted we are co-sleeping, dp is on the fence, he loves it but can't wait until she is in her own room so we've compromised and are getting bunks and putting the double bottom in her room and the single at my mums until #2 wants it! ]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=18300">Emmecat</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 39873<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 12 July 2011 at 9:36pm<br /><br />I co-sleep with the baby in our queen bed...and most every night DF sleeps with our 2 year old in her new double bed in her room lol <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0"> <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0"> It was pointless moving her from a cot to a toddler bed as they were sharing sleep most nights in the spare single bed so we just accepted our status as a co-sleeping household and bit the bullet and bought her a reaallly big girls bed LMAO <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0"> We also have a toddler bed made up in the nursery/playroom if the time comes either of the girls ever wants to sleep in that too.<br />Also, the new double bed for our toddler is actually part of a bunk set that has a single on top...so thinking waaay into the future, the girls will be able to sleep together (which I love the thought of <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> ) or one of them sleep on the top bunk. She still wakes quite often in the early hours and will just come and climb in between the parents (the new baby sleeps on the outside next to the mum). I'm not sure how big a bed they have but they are all pretty little people which I'm sure helps!]]>

DP wants DD in her bed by the time #2 comes but I can't quite see that happening! ATM the 3 of us are crammed into a double as we have her cot set up sidecar style but she won't go in there even though it's added another 70cm to the bed! It's just not 'close' enough to me! I am considering though that if she is still in our bed that we will have DP, dd then me on the other end and new baby in the cot right up against the bed... But we'll see! <br /><br />All the best! <br /><br />We may get a bigger bed though as ours is crammed - double and the springs are going on it because it was a cheap bed and DP bungs the springs being so big! ]]>

We really love co-sleeping still, but I'm wondering what to do when baby#2 arrives in Nov as we have a queen size bed and there's definitely no room for another baby in there! I'm trying to decide between buying a gigantic bed, a side-car cot, or maybe 2 bedrooms both with big beds so we can all juggle sleeping arrangements. Just wondering what worked for others?]]>
