He's still up at 6ish which i can cope with better that 5.15-5.30. unfortunately he doesn't know numbers yet, he will be turning 2 in october, he can count them but I don't think he would recognise them yet although he may surprise me. Kayden is so excited when I go in his room in the morning, he just wants to go straight into his routine of making breakfast.

One Mum I know has a great success with just turned 2 yr old. She got a digital clock and covered up the minutes. He knows he can get up when the number 7 appears. Heaps of toddlers sleep later once they can run around some more too.

This morning was 4.45am, yesterday was 5.15am and is usually around that time. He is happy to be to be awake and talk to himself until 6am or so, which is fine but we are right next door to can hear him so we are all awake. Im pretty much at my wits end about it now and feel that we have tried everything. I am dreading summer time and when its gets lighter as I don't think that will help. At least with daylight saving when he wakes at 5am it will be 6am!

We have a pretty strict 7am rule in our house, as long as she is safe & not screaming her head off completely, we do not go into her room until 7am. I leave books and toys in her cot to play with (I know Plunket says thats a no no, but we use an angelcare so I don't have a problem with it) and she will try it on for a couple of days, then realise that we can hold out longer than her, and gives up and goes back waking/increasing the noise level at 7am. I am pregnant too, and sleep is so valuable at the mo, that I am just strict with this and it seems to work
