It might vary by region though - that was for manawatu. We are still picking them off anyway.]]>

I would weed around them, make sure they have plenty of fertiliser and let them do their thing. A good mulch of straw is good to keep the fruit away from the ground and to retain moisture. Horse poo is great for a slow release fertiliser, just make sure you break it up really small.]]>
