    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=23693">HuMum</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 40474<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 16 September 2011 at 2:00pm<br /><br />SUCCESS!!!<br /><br />In case anyone is considering a radian in a late model subaru, the trick is to position the plastic boot under the isofix mounts as this is the squishyist part of the seat (the doorside one works best) then push the seat forward as you pull the seat belt tight to get as upright a install as possible. I've also attached the tether (it just doesn't seem right to not in my mind no matter what the manual says about it being ok!)<br /><br />Happy to report I can now drive without my preg belly touching the  steering wheel.  In fact it only takes up a bit more room than the Brio I currently use, which surprised me.<br /><br />The real test will be if DH can drive. It has been safety tested either way and I dont think one is signifigantly more safer than the other. You should be able to get it in with a belt so the seat doesnt move if you shove it hard. Try the middle. ]]>

There was no way it could be installed safely on the outboard seats.<br /><br />From what I have read on the internet - no body else has managed to get to install safely on the outboard seats in older model Legacy'either. Sorry! We ended up getting a new vehicle (Luckily it was on the agenda anyway - not just because when W goes into his Radian we wouldn't have been able to install both seats in the Suabaru.)]]>
