Probably a bit early to plant them out? Might have to get some slug bait. They have been chomping on my lettuce mix, the peas (luckily I planted more seeds which are germinating) and the bok choy seedlings. Hopefully I can stop them before they do more damage!

AandCsmum, oh eek about the fruit trees! Hopefully they can still be done?
What else do you have growing at the moment?

I just want some berries!! We had a small plant at our last house and it died so i'm super excited about this one!

We have a regular lime and its been (slowly) fruiting over winter. I think its in its 2nd-3rd year so we're pretty happy with how its done!

I hope your chilli and zuchinis are ok! I thought it was too cold to plant out chillis? I need to plant the chilli seeds I bought as none of the seedlings we brought from our last house have survived the move!

As we have bantams in our back yard, we put a small fence around the garden and they haven't jumped over it yet! They do obsessively dig in my herb garden though, so we might have to look at fencing that too- but at least they dont eat the herbs :)
On a good note, we are getting a few lovely white eggs (with gorgeous yolks) every day so they must be finding some good stuff in the soil!

I am super excited about my veggie patch- in the past we've grown herbs and spinach really well, but not a lot else so are trying to do it better this year!

We'll see what happens this year.

We have a regular lime tree (small) and a Kaffir tree. The regular lime has not fruited at all and the Kaffir tree has one teeny lime about the size of a really small grape on it!

Do you fence off the rest of your veges from the chooks?
