It was quite a while ago when DS1 (now 3 1/2) still wasn't saying that much. One day we were practising counting. I said one, he said one, I said two, he said two, I said what comes after two, he said three, I said what comes after three, he said, timeout.

I was in the kitchen tonight putting dinner together. The kids were in the lounge just around the corner and went a little quiet. I called out to ask what they were doing. Chloe (nearly 3yrs) calls out "I'm reading the news"....okaaaay, so I ask what Alex (11 months) is doing and she says "he's playing on the computer". I had a good laugh reading these. Obviously DS doesn't talk yet but crafty1 your post reminded me of how when my sister and I were little my Dad took us to the doctors and my sister said to me, look at that woman she's fat like Mrs Beasley (teacher at the time) lol he was mortified!

OMG they do say some hilarious things, I wish I could remember all the things my kids have said or written them down!
Today Lyall came rushing inside all concerned saying "Mum, Mum, Dad's lawning" (mowing the lawns lol)

ETA: And he thinks us telling him our baby is in Mummy's tummy is the most blatant silly thing we could expect him to believe..he says "Noooo we are getting our baby from kindy" He doesn't go to kindy yet but is VERY keen to start.

DD and I had a talk about why she doesn't have a brother or sister like her friends do and I told her that maybe one day I'd have another baby but not any time soon. Haha Shelt, DD always says to me "Mama you have beautiful skin" while stroking my cheek my skin isn't that great either lol

The other day while I was changing DS's nappy, DD said "Lets throw this baby out and buy a new one", I said "No, we love this baby" and she said "Ok keep this baby and buy two new ones too" ummm no thanks

DS1 (3 years) was playing with the vacuum cleaner cord, trying to plug it in. I told him not to do it in case he got a shock, and he asked what would happen if he got a shock and I explained he could get very hurt and some people have died from electric shocks.

Later on he was asking who Grandads Dad was, and I said that I called him Pop, but he was dead now. lmao kids say such awesome things but sometimes they are brutally honest

The other night my 7yr old gave me a hug and said I never used to be able to do this cos you were too round (I've recently lost 30kg)

Yesterday, while reading DD a story "mum I really like your skin" (not sure why, my skin isn't that great).

When I asked her if she liked the new drawers I brought "oh yes mum you make some lovely decisions" (what the?)

While carrying my handbag upstairs "I look like a really old lady carrying this bag" me - do I look like an old lady when I am carrying it? her - "yes, but thats coz you are really really old" (thanks for that one).

DS isn't talking a whole lot yet but I look forward to what he comes up with The best he does at the moment is calling out to strangers when we're out by yelling Hi or Bye (while waving) until they answer him and if they don't he says a very loud 'oh no, naughty'

DD often comes out with some awesome one-liners so I thought it would be fun to share some of the cute/funny things our kiddies say.
