Bexee what your doctor said was pretty much our attitude to it too.

Peytons- no worries about being intrusive. Yes I had read to count the first day of the miscarriage as CD1, and I ovulated on CD15 according to Fertility Friend charting. We'd decided if I ovulated we might as well try, so did, but didn't have 'everything' invested in it - it was more of a if it happens, it happens. Mind you, I still balled my eyes out when I got my period - and it was on the day when I had been due to have my 16 week midwife appointment so that hurt.

Hey PeytonsMum - trying to answer your question regarding CD1... We were told to wait a cycle, but I think that was more from an emotional perspective as I struggled quite a bit with our miscarriage.

The lovely doctor who I had said at the end of the day, your body will conceive again when it's ready - I don't think there is any more risk etc conceiving straight away.

So, Pepi-bebe, your first cycle post MC was pretty much a normal cycle if you OV on day 14 then?
Did you count from the 1st day of your bleeding as CD1?
(Sorry, possibly belongs more in the charting thread, and sorry if I am being intrusive)
I am not sure how to proceed, since I know it is recommended to wait one cycle, but I was so early that I do wonder if my body will be ready again?

I had a natural miscarriage with no medical intervention or monitoring at 12 weeks in late October. We believe the baby died at around 7-8 weeks though.
I then then immediately started acupuncture (from a fertility specialist) and started taking a herbal tonic to build up my blood and fertility again.
I ovulated on day 14 after the miscarriage, so due to a number of personal timing reasons that needed us to 'get on with it' so to speak, we tried again.
I think that I did conceive as I got the same fatigue that I had with my first pregnancy and the irritability lol, plus had what I believed to be implantation bleeding on just the right day for that. But AF came one day late after some spotting on the day it was due.
That period was heavier than usual with some dark blood which is not usual for me. So I believe that I ovulated, most likely conceived, the egg implanted, but my womb wasn't sufficiently replenished to support a new pregnancy.
For us I felt like it was the right decision, as we thought if I ovulated, we'd try and what would be would be.
This month though everything has been super on time and normal, I'm 5DPO I have sore boobs so fingers crossed!
So I have had one full cycle before trying this time - and have ovulated twice during this time.

I had a miscarriage at 6 or 7 weeks and tried that same month, didn't get preg & then got preg the next cycle.

I think they say to wait for your mental state but if you are to terms with it like I was with mine, then go for it. We were told to wait a while but ignored the advice because we didnt have time on our side (fertility issues + age).

Got pregnant 4 months later with our son

I had a MC in July this year, I was further along at 9weeks but we were told by the hospital to wait at least one cycle before trying.

I had a scan 4 weeks after my MC to ensure everything was clear and was given the go ahead but we waited for one cycle. It was heavier than normal so I was glad we waited. All to their own when they are ready,

I also read on the internet you are more fertile after MC as the hormones are still around.

My doctor told me to go home and be naughty I think a major concern is your own well being. We got pregnant 2 months later now have a healthy son We never questioned our MC, just reasoned that there was some very good reason why we were not to meet that baby. Of course we grieved. Or son was born one year after my MC, went into labour on the actual anniversary. Hi. Just wondering if anyone knows how long one should wait before TTC again after a very early (less than 5 weeks) natural miscarriage?
Dr Google is giving me very conflicting advice!
