I have had 2 C-sections and 2 "normal" births. I absolutely believe that vaginal births leave you in a much better state post delivery than C-section. I would say bonding and recovery are both much easier. My midwife was really pro vbac so it was an easy option for me, even after difficult labours resulting in c-sections. I guess for me it was about ensuring I was set up properly for successful delivery. Both my csections happened after post-due inductions that didn't progress. Soooo for me avoiding induction and waiting longer for water breaking so that baby was in a good position for delivery were both really important. Also avoiding epidural pain relief was key as this halted labour for me. VBAC was, for me AWESOME. Firstly good luck getting your VBAC.

No didnt see anyone after having #1, Had out NT scan today and we have an anterior placenta.
After a bit of reaserch its very pos this one will be posterior too..

I realised you posted this a wee while ago and I dont really have any advice for you, but we are in exactly the same position except I'm due on friday. DS was the same- posterior, didn't engage and failed labour, ventouse and c section.
The obstetricians and midwives Ive seen have told me that since it was a positional problem with DS, I shouldn't have any issues having a VBAC though the hospital will want to monitor everything closely.

Just after any advice out there with VBACS, We are expecting out #2 child early July, DS will be aprox 19 months old when #2 arrives.

DS birth progressed normally dialating resonably quick, then turning into vontooes, forcepts, epsi and emergancy csec.
He never engaged nor did he turn from posterior. He was also 39weeks. and 7.14lb

I would really love a VBAC as this is our lasted 'planned' child so any advice/ storie welcome!!
