Author: Hopes
Subject: 42791
Posted: 21 November 2012 at 1:05pm

Big hugs. It's a hard road.

Excellent that you're ovulating! I know that because you've probably being trying for ages before you started clomid it's hard to remember, but lots of people don't get pregnant for a couple of months even if they're in perfect working order all by themselves. (I know exactly how hard it is for that to mean anything, don't worry - when you've been waiting, you just want it to be THIS CYCLE. Hopefully this third one is the trick).

I think I did five clomid cycles? However, in my case it wasn't particularly effective, they might possibly have let me do more if I was ovulating while on it? For me, it just didn't work. I ended up having my ovaries drilled during an op for endo, which helped me ovulate. I did also ovulate by myself for the first time ever when I got my period back after my son, although now I've got it back after my daughter I'm fairly confident that I'm not ovulating again.

I hope it all works out for you. Hang in there, it's hell and more at the time, but it's a very rare couple who doesn't end up with a baby at the end of the road... it's just longer for some of us than others. Big hugs.

    Author: Sarah99558
Subject: 42791
Posted: 18 November 2012 at 10:55pm

Hi everyone,

I'm 24 and have PCOS - although my only symptoms were lack of period/ovulation and very small cysts on the ovaries - the ovaries were not inflamed though (the ultrasound interpreter almost didn't diagnose me with PCOS), so apparently that means that my PCOS isn't as bad/ advanced as it could be?

I'm on my third round of Clomid at the moment, it all seems to be getting harder each round - maybe because I have less going on to distract me at the moment and also because I'm starting to get worried about the "what ifs" - I could cope with no biological children but I'm worried about this whole process damaging my relationship (due to the stress and disappointment) and also that my partner would leave me for someone who can easily have babies (I know that is probably ridiculous but I still can't help but think about it..).

My main question at the moment is how many cycles of Clomid people with PCOS have gone through whilst TTC? Has anyone ever stopped Clomid and found that they've started ovulating again? We were told that sometimes the Clomid cycles can kick start the body into working properly again.. And also have people done acupuncture? How did that work out for you?

Thanks in advance for any replies :)
