So say you're 39 now but turn 40 in 8 months and the waitlist is 12 months then you will miss out as you still have to be under 40 by the time your name is called up if that makes sense.

I would probably try with Fertility plus again - or ask why you can't go on the list because even if you did go through the doctor Fert+ could still decline you as at the end of the day it's up to them.

Such a hard one :( Maybe try getting on the list through both of them?

Could you possibly do a private cycle?

Which Fertility Plus are you with?

    Author: smiggle101386
Subject: 42856
Posted: 11 December 2012 at 8:14pm

Hi I'm new here.
We've been TTC for about 2 years now. Had a miscarriage at 10.5 weeks over a year ago.
We went to Fertility Plus and had tests done a few months ago. My partner is fine. My AMH is not great, but normal for my age (39). FSH is not bad. Tubes are fine. The fert Dr said that we would not get funding because we don't actually have any issues other than my age. After that, we sort of gave up hope.
I was at my GP last week for something unrelated and she noticed that I'll be 40 next year and suggested we get on the list for funding ASAP. I told her what the fert Dr. said and she was pretty upset and said that if he won't put us on the list for funding, then she will.
So who's right? Should we go back to Fert+ and insist they put us on the list? Or redo all the tests and get my GP to do it? I just feel like I'm running out of time.
