I've been thinking about this - does his new bed have a headboard? If not, perhaps if you get one he could rock up against this instead? you need sleep. ring plunketline and they might have some suggestions for you. Good luck. Is he awake or is it like a sleep walking type behaviour? Have you asked him why he's doing it? Does he just need a bit of extra comfort for some reason and can you pop back into bed with him until his needs change? My son is 22 months old. He is a happy healthy full of energy little boy. Since he was about 6 months old he has rocked himself to sleep in his cot banging his head against his pillow/edge of cot. This is totally normal. However we have recently moved him into a bed (he can climb in and out of a cot) and since then he has been climbing out of bed in the wee hours of the morning (2-3am) and rocking against his bedroom door. The noise is absolutely horrific and keeps me, and the entire household up for hours. It doesn't matter how many times you put him into bed or comfort him etc he still ends up rocking against the door. I am currently pregnant Again and the lack of sleep is just absolutely killing me. I know the rocking is normal and he will grow out of it but please. Anyone.
