Hi everyone, I'm new here.

My partner and I are in our 7th month of trying for a baby (first for both of us). I'm 36 years old, living in Auckland. This month was the first time we tried the ovulation test so we are currently in that awful time where we are waiting to see whether or not I get my period which is next due on 5 May - fingers crossed I don't get my period and I get a positive test!

How long have you been trying for a baby?

Hi ladies, I am new in this thread, but looking for advice. We are trying for Baby # 3. I have been charting my temps and testing for ovulation over the last few months. I always reached a Peak smiley face on the Clearblue Advanced Digital on my previous months. This month of course, now that this is the month we are actually going to try - I have now had 7 days of high smileys faces (the flashing ones) and haven’t reached a peak. I did a few baby4you test strips yesterday that seemed to confirm a positive result for an LH surge, yet the advanced OPK again gave me a high reading this morning and no peak. My EWCM has been present the last few days, and my temperature hasn’t shifted up yet so I would assume ov hasn’t happened yet. Has anyone experienced this many high readings? We are trying to dtd as close to ov as possible, hence waiting for peak reading. Any advice greatly appreciated! Am about to give up on the advanced opks, I feel like the flashing smiley face is taunting me! Hi Ladies, Im new here :) TTC #1 for the last 6 months, husband already has a 10yo. I've been testing with opks but no signs of O'ving at all, i've been following the instructions but nothing for the last 6 months :( Feeling very disheartened.
My friends and sister haven't had any troubles conceiving in fact they haven't even had to 'try' so none of them get it and keep giving ridiculous advice of 'just relax it will happen' etc. ummmmm no it wont if i don't try Grrrrrrr.
Think it might be time for a trip to the GP but i really want to avoid taking drugs to help OV and would prefer the natural option, has anyone tried anything natural to bring on OV?

I'm just taking straight coq10 2 capsules a day alongside women's multi which has folic acid in it.

Our first month last month ended in a miscarriage. My partner isn't the father of my other 2 so it's his first but he is the most amazing supportive person around.

I've pretty much stopped the pill so now it's just a waiting game I guess. Hi there. I don't think many people are on this thread but you and I! I'm CD 24 at the moment and this will be our 4th month ttc. Month 1 fail. Month 2 fail. I can finally post in here! I'm CD1 today and after some crazy cycles I have been put on Metformin to help me ovulate after being diagnosed with a mild case of PCOS. Hi all,
Not sure if I am in the right post but hoping someone can share their experience or guidance. We are TTC #2 but had an early miscarriage. We conceived first go using my period app tracker, observing CM and feeling abdominal cramping.

Having always been regular I am not sure what impact an early miscarriage ca’n have on a cycle, so counting the first day of my miscarriage bleeding as Day 1, I started using ovulation tests from Day 12 of this "cycle". I finally got my positive LH surge on Day 16 (18/05)and Day 17 (19/05). We only DTD on the positive days and about a week before so wondering if this would have been enough? Based on google searches, they suggest to DTD from day of positive surge and every day for 2-3 days! Hey Jessaroo :) If you haven't had a period yet, then you haven't been ovulating. However, the first time you ovulate will be before you get your first period (most likely), so no real warning! For me, I found that I go AF back at around the 7 mth mark, with my son starting on apple puree etc as he happily explored the world of solid foods.

I've found personally that tracking my temperature first thing in the morning has helped know when I have been ovulating or not - when my hormones are in flux my temp bounces around everywhere, but before I ovulate they settle down to nice constant lower temps (for me around the 36.4 deg mark), and after ov are higher at 36.7/8 deg.

I've known two people who have gotten pregnant while exclusively breastfeeding, so I know it does happen! But no idea what the odds of ovulation are. All I know is that if you ovulate you have to either get preggers or get AF - you can't ovulate without anything else happening.

Right Oh...I am back in here ladies. Onto 2nd month of TTC..lets hope lucky number 2 is it!

I am on cd1 today!...I am predicted to O on cd16, 17 or 18. which works out to be on Jan 24,25 or 26th. Who else will be ovulating on these dates?

Having bad cramps today arrrrg hate it...had to start the painkillers early this morning and my flow started earlier in night around 4am.

yup... it's my first cycle after a miscarriage :-( Not fun waiting for my body to catch up. I had a funny crampy/spotting thing about 25 days ago, so not sure if it was AF or not. Either way, it's 25 or 45 days. I'm sure I've lined the pockets of the company making OV test strips. Ha Ha! Hi ladies,
I think this is the last cycle we will try before we call it quits until after the wedding. If we succeed baby would be due late april and we get married the following feb and DF does not want a young baby at the wedding as that would just add too much stress being heavily preg/having young baby and getting the last of the wedding organised. Which is fair enough. The pre-seed lube can you buy it in shops? Or only online? well didnt go red full force so maybe a 8day LP? TMI but going red now when wipe, cycle did something similar last cycle so still sure its AF coming...

It's SOOO hard hearing about all the other pregnancies, Jess. I totally understand. I just keep telling myself (when the spiteful feelings bubble to the surface) that I'd want my friends to be happy for me if the tables were turned. And then I put my best attempt at a happy face that I can muster.

AFM, darker line on my opk today, but still not positive! CD 18 already (I think!). No idea what this body of mine is up to. Other thing I find incredibly frustrating is my step daughters Mother (who is off the rails) has recently decided that she doesn't want to see her any more, poor girl is heartbroken and it just makes me so angry that a parent can just do that to their child! She hasnt had custody for 8 years (tay is 10) and has never had custody of her 5yo son but still wants to see him. She didnt show up to 10y/o school production last night which she promised to turn up to and then called her a liar saying she had never been told she was in anything like that! The fact that women like her can get preg and have children they dont even want really really winds me up.

Feeling incredibly bleh today. 3 friends have had their babies this week with another 3 announcing they are pregnant and another finding out the sex of her baby. 2 more friends are due to pop any minute now. Happy for them but incredibly jealous! Also, my best friend finishes her pill in a week and her and partner are going to try for number 3. For other 2 she fell preg the same month she finished the pill. Its not been long enough to raise concern about anything but it still sucks! And I am terrified DF would change his mind about babies etc if it takes over a year because of his age. :(

Plenty of ewcm at the moment and been BDing roughly every 36 hours instead of every 2 days, so we should be in with a good shot this month! No sore nipples yet, but then they were late in my symptoms for OV last month, so not really counting on them any more Might have to look into OPKs or temping (or both!) if we have no luck over the next couple of months.

As for the TMI tag, I'm not using it in the TTC threads 'cos I feel like that's kind of the point of them right? Not sure how I'm gonna work figuring out, just using symptoms atm, had been going on combo of ewcm and sore nipples, but I think the nipples were a bit late last month... Im currently on CD27 Damn PCOS! Had a scan yesterday and had a few follies but the more dom one was 17mm. So am going back tomorrow with DH for another scan im hoping im close! Also having a trigger if things are looking ok! My opks are all over the show! But finally im so close to a positive! Feeling twinges in my side now eeeeek!

charly B6 can take a few months to work, i was on it for 2 + vitex for 1 the cycle i got UTD with DD and this is cycle 3 or 4 on B6 i think and ov is brought right back :)

a.girl i get mine from dealextreme, $1.15US for 3 pack :) so i ordered a few packs as i have tests from there too, always used them from there same with pre DD good HPT too really sensitve

AFM another darker than control POS OPK with second wee so ov is today i think....

Got prolly another week to go, I'm CD 10 and its been CD17 the last few months. I'm also trying the B6 when I remember to take it.

Oh and (TMI) CM just on the verge of going from creamy to watery, usually 3 days of that and then 3-4 of EWCM and bam Ov the day before it fully clears up. At least my body is regular :)

i always get faint lines...but this was the faintest iv EVER HAD!!! so def not oving yet....didnt think so as the earliest iv ever been is cd18....normally more 20-21...DD was a CD19 baby....

yeah it does suck not being "normal" and oving two weeks in, was oping the B6 would help and seems to have brought me forward maybe a day or two if im lucky but im more worried about LP....got DD on a 10 day LP so it IS possible :)

will opk every two days from now though as the EWCM is still there so its gearing up, but i can have a whole week of the stuff haha

Loopy, I usually OV on cd 19-20 (currently at 17, and no sign of a pos opk ) I hate waiting this long to OV! So depressing when AF comes and you know it's 3 whole weeks before you get another go at TTC!!

Sex everyday is fine we did that with DD sometimes even twice, while it can lower the millions of numbers in the ejaculate yes, it can actually help with the Quality which is more important in my view as this means a healthy sperm, healthy sticky baby.

HI Icecream - I replied in the TWW thread - every second or third day is enough - say the experts. So unless you've been told differently, go with that. If you do it too often, the sperm quality is low.

Help ladies

On my first cycle of clomid, temping too but

I have now had 3 positive OPK tests 2 yesterday (2, 8pm) and again at 3pm today, going to test at 8pm but I have never had so many positives. Feeling very funny around the middle and not sure I can feel anything specific but I do feel something going on. Now worried that every other day for BDing is not enough so BD on tue night and this morning but as my positives keep going on not use if we should BD in the morning again or tomorrow night. Fine line between hitting the make and 'over use!' and potentially burning out too soon.

hahaha yup def BD this arvo if you can as thos pains sound good, if things go well bubs will be a righty side like my DD i felt the ov on right and the sharp implant pains on right also, on scans she was def a righty!! FX for you birdy!!

yup and i took VITEX and B6 for 2 cycles before i got DD and thats as dark as my OPKS ever get, i never get darker than control line test lines lol so yup def POS today for you! so BD for the next 3 days to make sure your covered.
