Very helpful info. I think I will def go with having it done at the clinic. I don't think my insurance will cover it as it's pre-exisitng. So the clinic is a good $2000 cheaper!

I hope something good comes from it like it did you. Good luck with your little bubba

We have been under him when had dealings with FAA.
I had mine done at the clinic and didn't have local, it wasn't painful enough to need anything, just get a little cramping like period pains.
All up the procedure probably took 30mins max, maybe left, but that was cause they didn't find anything wrong. It might take a little longer if they need to remove anything from inside the uterus.
We have been through IVF, so had the hystercopy before they implanted a frozen embryo.
For us, we found that having the hystercopy worked for us, and wish you good luck

And congrats on your little bubba!

That is helpful, and a little hopeful, information. I think I will def get one done, at this point I'm willing to try anything if there's a chance it may find something, or at least rule them out.
I'm with Dr Fisher at Auckland FA.
Did you just have it done at your clinic and just a local? Is it a long procedure? They said half an hour at least, but could go longer?
What is the embryo replacement, are you doing IVF?

Sorry for so many Q's

I am currently 17 weeks pregnant and everything is going great!
I had it done at the FA clinic without the need of any pain killers. It wasn't painful, just a little uncomfortable at times, and I had very minimal pain afterwards.
Whether I managed to conceive as a direct result of the hystercopy, who knows? But my husband and I have said that when we are ready for number two, and to use our last frozen embryo we would consider having one done again.
Hopefully this is of some help, and helps with you making your decision whether to have one done or not.
Which FA's are you under?

He has given me two options of either going to the Hospital and have a general anestetic or just at the FA clinc with a local. I'm just not sure which?

I'm TTC #2, after 4 early/chemical pregnancies, and he is suggesting this is my next step in seeing what is going on inside as all my bloods look fine and #1 was conceived, carried and delivered with no problems what so ever, so it's a bit of a ??? LOL
