That way, if you get pregnant, you can always call and be taken off the list, but if you don't, you don't have to wait and you'll have a date sitting waiting for you.

I was very hesitant, (as I don't have problematic periods as such) but when they told me how long the wait for surgery was.. I would have hated to get to the end of it and not be UTD and have to wait on top of that.

I am absolutely hoping I will be UTD before I have a surgery date, but the last you never know what will happen.

All the best for whatever you decide x

As a teen, when AF arrived she would be curled in a ball, usually crying in pain (she's not a highly emotional person either), her face pale, no colour in her lips even - One time my parents called an ambulance they were so worried about her (she woke them up in the middle of the night, she was white as a ghost, in so much pain and her lips had turned blue!!...crazy!!)
Anyway... She had a lap... And she's never looked back! As Reddahlia said - Life changing!!
I think the sooner the better :)

Edited by Charly28 - 29 January 2014 at 8:49pm

If you do have Endo then often a lap is going to be necessary at some point anyway, either for symptom control or TTC reasons, especially if it's severe endo.
And while the girl leaving at work is a pain with the timing and will make things difficult I think there will alwasy be something that will get in the way. It may suck and inconvenience the other people at work a bit more but you need to look after you as well!!! And hopefully you will have it done before then anyway.
Just my 2 cents

Endometriosis / laparoscopy : Hoping i can get some advice...

    Author: *Sara*
Subject: 43850
Posted: 29 January 2014 at 10:49am

Hoping i can get some advice from ladies who have had this done before.

Background: Went on the Pill at 16 for heavy painful periods and came off it last year due to migraines, cue awful pains again

So i've been putting up with all of the symptoms for months and then in Nov/Dec i finally decided i was over it and went and saw a specialist. He agrees its prob Endo but as you know the only true way to tell is by Lap. As i'm TTC we decided i'd give it 3 more months (then i would be 6 months TTC) and if not UTD i would get the surgery.

NOW: So AF is due this weekend, and then its one more month till my 3 months are up, and I'm torn. I have lots on the first 1/2 of this year, and then a girl in my team is UTD and will be off from June = really difficult to have 2 weeks(ish) off after that!

So do i try and minimise symptoms by natural methods (massage, acupuncture, herbal bits n bobs) and hope i get UTD, and if no luck in say 9/12months look into it as a cause? or, bite the bullet and get it done shortly?

So any suggestions, advice would be great, thanks!
