We too have a Valco one and still use it now!

I definately would not be without it! I still use it all the time. To change Olivia and also dress her after bathtime. A lot warmer up there than down on the floor too.

Heaps of extra space to store things underneath and I have a nappy storage thing attached on the end. It is also on four lockable casters which makes it easy to move around as well as having a strap to lock her onto it.

It also came with a bath - but realistically only used that for a little while as she was so darn long she did not fit for very long.

The inlaws bought us one. It is great and I wouldn't have been without it. I have a bad back (which turned even crappier for about 4 weeks after birth), plus had a c-section. We have a bath one too but at the start we only used it for the bath and not for changing. I took the top off so its just 2 shelves now and its great for storage and Jacks toys are on the bottom shelf and he has a great time taking things out and putting them back. I have a cheeper baby care one $139 or so (dont know BIL bought it) it is a simple one with Bath tub. Zaara is 14 months and I still use it to change her.

I wont go with out one!!

We have just moved Kaylas out of her room and she is nearly 2. We brought it off TM its recycled rimu and has two shelves under neath, one of the them rolls out for great access. It was about $100, great buy in my opinion. Never had any probs with rolling etc and was a life saver on our backs. I love ours but it's another one of a kind type (hubby made it).  Come and check it out if you like!  I'll PM you my number, and might go ask him if he's wanting to make another.  Thing is, it wouldn't be any cheaper 'cause we found the materials weren't cheap, and he made a set of drawers as part of it so it's quite big.  We can use it for storage later as the table folds upwards (or we'll pimp it out for a liquor cabinet!).  I use it for nearly all of Ella's changes and getting dressed.  Ella's not rolling 180 yet though, so I couldn't say how much use it'll get then.

I have a bad back and a change table was one of our must haves as well. You can get the $200 one, or you can get the cheaper ones that I am sure are around the $80 mark, just don't include the bath etc.

i got given my change table from my in-laws and i'd never be without it! i also have a bad back and it was one of the things i was definately getting for bubs.
it was second hand when i got it, used it til jack was 15mths then my friend used it for 13mths and now i'm using it for charli.
it's just starting to show wear now!
it has the bath underneath but bubs don't stay small enough for long so grow out of them really quickly.

We got one from Baby City (yay for Fly Buys! lol)

After my C/S I couldn't live without it. Cailtin out grew the bath at about 2-3 months but I still change her on it even though she is only just shorter in length than the actual table. I guess when her head is hanging off the end I'll change her on the floor .

I decided not to get one as I thought they were a bit of waste of money and if I did get one i would of ended up just changing James on the floor and we don't really have enough space for one anyway's. I used a change table with Hannah, I can't remember it being more/less helpful after a c/s with her. After a while I found it just annoying and in the way, because they take up quite a lot of space. It's probably just as well I decided to stop using it because Briona was a far wrigglier baby and started to roll/crawl/wriggle off it by 6mos (that's about when I stopped). So it partly depends on your space and your baby's ability to stay still

Definitely if you go for one of them, keep a complete change of clothes with it so you don't have to leave baby for anything. I've got a bath/change table combo, that we got at Farmers on sale for $159, and it has been awesome, really invaulable. I still use it to dry Jake after his bath and change him on, it really saves my back, especailyl since I am 97 months pregnant and huge. I say go for it!

I have one, but its a one of a kind as my FIL made it for me. I loved it with Andrew and my friend used it with her second. I found having a shelf undernearth was great for storing stuff for the baby that you need when changing them. I rather liked the idea of all the extra storage. We dont have one, I personally dont like them. We used a sponge changing mat cushion on the floor for Haleigh, we also used it for after bathing.

I have the same setup as Paws & Emma... bought a Valco Baby change table / bath combo for about $180 I *think*... and yes Erin is too big for the bath now but she showers with daddy at the moment instead. It's at just the right height for me and good for storage too ! I paid $160 for mine at the Baby Factory and wouldn't be without it. We have one that also has a bath as part of it and I have found int invaluable!

I've also got a bit of a bad back so using the floor would have not been fun...especially after my c-section. We found the bath was great and used it for the first 2 months or so.

I got a really nice one ..... and wished I hadn't but then we just got lazy and was changing on the floor. With your bad back you may use it more often, we did find it good while babys were tiny and storage having everything handy - I had a few changes of clothes on there as well so for any accidents didnt have to rush off to get something, we also had it in the lounge. I was going to get one but then an online friend said they are only really useful for the first couple of months.
