No, it's definitely not going to hurt you in any way, so you don't have to worry about it. Air conditioners can only harm your body if their filters haven't been cleaned or replaced with newer ones. In this case, the air conditioner delivers polluted air into the apartment, which can provoke coughs or headaches. I try to avoid this, and so I always call for air conditioning repair and cleaning services every few months of regular use of the device.
