good to know. any hints or tips? Hubby did a search on the internet for train party ideas, now we are apparently having masking tape train tracks running through our house aswell. Oh and of course had to have a thomas pinata!

or hire toys like a slide, animal rockers etc...they are always good and not that expensive!

I went and bought a bouncy castle from warehouse (barbie) for $50 to use at Zaara's 2nd birthday party. I dont know if she will like it ...but what the hell!!

I am not too fond of baloons for kids that age. Accidents happen quickly and we had a few cases in SA where kids got badly hurt.

We didn't have games etc. but like Liz suggested bubbles went down great (someone gave Gsmums lil boy a bubble blower for his last birthday and it kept them entertained for ages) and balloons are always fun too (till they pop )

And little kids love to play with balloons too. Don't overdo it, keep it fun and relaxed, it sounds like it's already going to be a great time!

One thing to bear in mind for little ones' party games is that at this age they are very co-operative (for my DD's recent party we have a co-operative treasure hunt - one named thing for each person). yeah i would just gather up all the toys you can and let them go for it. Maybe have heaps of bubbles on hand so they can go crazy with blowing bubbles. At that age they are still happy to just do whatever i reckon. How about those big shell things for a sandpit or something? Otherwise I just bring out all the old toys and let the kids have fun.

Hi guys, Im just needing some ideas for Oscar's second birthday. It is on this saturday (the 17th of feb) but i dont know what to do. We are going to be having a BBQ and cake and fairy bread and birthday food you know how it is but what can i actually do other than that? I was thinking i should get pin the tale on the donkey and things but in reality it wont happen...Oscar has little control of limbs so probably wouldnt be able to do it...Well not probably he wouldnt. And then all the other kids are about 1 (some a little younger and some a little older)
