Once they hit the 6-8 week mark the changes drop off and you can wash less often.

OR you can buy 18 and have a few spares (that's what I did)

Also their bladder is quite small so they seem to go a lot more often than when they get older and store it up. Night changes for newborns are often only required over the first month, perhaps a bit more if you're using MCN and haven't got the hang of stuffing yet.

Does that answer everything?

I changed my girls mid-feed when they were newborns to wake them up enough to finish the feed, they were pretty much dirty at every change for the first couple of weeks, then with Maya (who was breastfed) it changed and became one massive explosion every few days.

As they sleep longer they need more absorbency coz obviously it's longer between changes. I stopped changing my girls at night feeds around 8-9 weeks, they were still waking to feed but I just fed them and put them down without changing.

How many times do you change at night? Do they basically get changed everytime they feed + any time they poo?

Do newborns wet less than older babies at night or do we just change them more because we are feeding them more.

I was looking at more nappies today and getting demonstrations on how to stuff hemp + microfibre in them etc but after I left I replayed the conversation in my mind and thought the lady in the shop was about to say something about 6 month old babies sleeping through the night so needing more absorbancy.

HELP!
