When I was a nanny, only ever used a door frame, I personally found some of the different frames to be a little flimsy (looked it, but Im sure was safe) and it was easier to move them from room to room. But having said this can be a bit of a pain to squeeze past bubs in the doorway especially if folding washing and the like, in and out of the room to each set of drawers etc.

Also found it handy to have a bunch of different materials for baby to kick and bounce on, like tinfoil, crinkly bags, maybe an icecream container of that slippery slime so they can squish it between their toes, and only a limited ammount of mess due to no hands involved. (obviously making sure bubs couldnt possibly reach anything they could hurt themselves with while in the JJ)

I would reccommend getting one, then you get the fun of shopping, and if bubs doesnt like it they have a good resale value. Best wishes.

Emma Rose never liked hers -- I'd put her in it and try to "bounce" her, but she didn't get the hang of it, and would sort of dangle there, twirling slowly around and around, gazing at me in abject misery. (Which was pretty hilarious to see, actually.)

Ours was a secondhand one my mother got at a garage sale -- and there are heaps for sale on TM, in case you don't want to spend big bucks on a new one. I think they're a great investment too, even though my weird child didn't like hers -- apparently I loved mine as a baby, so I'll keep Em's one in case there's ever a Baby #2 who might be more open-minded than she is!

Andrew loved his and would happily spend hours in it if I didn't take him out after 20 or so minutes. They are great to have around the witching hour, put bubs in there and you can have them entertained for 20 or so minutes while you cook dinner.
