We have used flats in our pockets too, they are great because when you wash them they dry so fast - the microfibre inserts take a bit longer to dry.

Once I have gotten through my Huggies and sold the rest yeah probably. I'll be able to buy a full set once I start studying (course related costs are handy for something ) so we'll be part time for the next few months I think. Well I've just had a pocket nappy made for me to try with Ella at night time, and we used two flat nappies folded up. Although Ella doesn't really wet much anymore, so I don't know how they'd go with a younger baby. I'm pretty sure lots of people use them for inserts though. I have a heap of flats (the traditional white nappy) that I have been given and we use them for when Josh is on the ground with no nappy on. Can I use these as inserts??
