I don't have a mountain buggy but bought the carry cot for my pushchair and use it all the time - love the fact Kaleb can lie down (he's 4 weeks old) when we're out and also use it as a portacot when we're out. I loved mine!! We used it for around 3-4 months and it doubled as a portacot too.
