basic biscuits-edmonds cook book ones

125g butter
3/4 c sugar
1t vanilla essence
1 egg
2 c plain flour
1 t baking powder

cream butter, sugar, vanilla until light and fluffy. add egg beating well. sift flour and powder together and mix into creamed mixture.rolled heaped teasoop fulls onto a greased tray, flatten slightly, and bake at 190 c for about 12 mins

i also chuck in some cocoa(2 T) and some choc chips. but df has put all sorts on things in.

cookies...ones that i can use with cookie cutters and ones tht it possible to change the flavour of...ie make vanilla, or chocolate, or orange etc
