Here's my checklist for shopping for a front pack:
1. Is it easy to put on?
2. Can it adjust for use for mum or dad?
3. Can baby be forward facing, not just towards you (this is preferable for slightly older 4m+ babies, especially if everytime they are towards your breast they hope for a feed!)
4. Is there good head support

The Baby Gear one, IMO, is reasonable for #1, Yes for #2, but No for #3 and #4.

Have you looked into slings? I got a Heart 2 Heart one from TradeMe and I find it a lot easier to put baby in/out of especially when I have another preschooler to look after also.

I'd like one that can take a newborn, ideally, and I'm willing to pay up to about $100. I don't mind getting a secondhand one either, so it can be one of the more expensive brands as long as there are secondhand ones available on trademe.

Does anyone have any suggestions about what types I should check out? Is there a 'best' type to get (you know, with buggies most people suggest P&T or Mountain Buggy - are there frontpacks that most people like?)
